Carrol Juven and Al Larson
Our friends Carrol Juven in Juven Tours and Al Larson, the Minot publisher, and one of the Midwest's most prolific Scandinavian heritage promoters.
Al Larson was a spokesman to say it's time to give Leif Eiriksson the proper recognition and put his achievement right along side that of other famous explorers. He said that he thinks it would be well to not have a Columbus Day but to have a Disoverers Day that would incorporate both of these great explorers, Leif Eriksson and Colombus.
October 9th is now designated LAFE Leif Eiriksson day in Minot.
