The big surprise
A very surprising meeting in Fergus Falls. Elaine (Melby) Ayre is a cousin of Hermod H. Monsen's wife, and she lives in Calgary in Canada. Elaine had been to a family re-union near Oungre in Saskatchewan where the 100 year's anniversary of John B. Jordbræk Hansen's farm was commemorated. Now she was heading for Illinois to find out more about her relatives there.
Hermod was with his friends in the Skien - Minot delegation. They had stopped over in Fergus Falls on their way up to Minot, and since they liked the food and atmosphere at the Applebee's restaurant in Fergus Falls, they decided to stop there on the way back too. But they decided to stay at AmericInn hotel instead of the other hotel that they had stayed at on their way up to Minot.
And there Elaine and Hermod met in the breakfast area in the reception....
